My first days at Holmsted!

Hello Everyone!!

I am now at Holmsted. It's nothing like I expected and the staff are really nice. There are 17 girls and 5 guys, this is not including the staff, so there are 22 students. Ironically, one of the guys is from Walhalla, SC, about 30 minutes from Franklin.
It's very unique, everyone is from so many different countries: England, USA, Africa, Denmark, Norway, Germany, Canada, Holland, and Switzerland. And it's alot of fun, we've all been delving into how the others talk and our different cultures!

God has been so amazing, a couple nights ago we did worship, the staff have put together a little "band" and they are very good. There was one song we did by Matt Redman called "Shine", if you get a chance you need to look up the lyrics, I will put the chorus but you need to look up the whole song.

"We will shine like stars in the universe, Holding out Your truth in the darkest place. We´ll be living for Your glory, Jesus we´ll be living for Your glory. We will burn so bright with Your praise O God, And declare Your light to this broken world. We´ll be living for Your glory, Jesus we´ll be living for Your glory."

This song really spoke to my heart and I believe that part of God's commission for me on this trip is to grow so much in and through him that His light will shine through me like the stars in the universe.

Alot of people are looking forward to what's to come but I think in someways I am actually scared for it all, some of the requirements are outside of my comfort zone, it's a challenge for me to face.

Well, that's what is going on right now, I can't wait to hear from you guys! Please write me!
